We noted many patients with genetic disorders are unaware of their mutation type. We approached the genetic department at the local ministry of health with a request to have the mutation type appear as part of the genetic report. The genetic department was very responsive, and decided to formulate the genetic reports to full extent, setting up a template to be used by all genetic institutions in the country. The template contained many mandatory fields, one of which is the mutation type that we were after. We were blessed to find great people at the ministry of health genetic department. Thank you!
